John MacArthur Acknowledges The Bible Does Not Support Women Preachers

There are two main players in this story, Beth Moore, an evangelical feminist ‘preacher’, and influential pastor John MacArthur.

Chinle, Arizona – Beth Moore, the female preacher who is increasingly involved in the feminist #MeToo and #WhyIDidntReport movement (which was aimed at scuttling the Supreme Court candidacy of Justice Brett Kavanaugh last year), had her band’s drummer get on his knees before an audience of women and apologize to them on behalf of all men.

Moore started her career as a teacher for women, but now preaches to both genders. Not deterred by Scriptural admonitions against women teaching doctrine or preaching to men, Moore has gradually become a chief proponent of evangelical feminism. To their shame, many confused Adventist women have brought Beth Moore’s videos into their women’s Bible studies, including many in Florida, California, Kansas and Ohio.

Most recently, Moore spoke at an event in Chinle, Arizona, in which an odd scene soon developed.

Beth Moore is fully “woke” and fully feminist, and to prove it, she had a man literally get on his knees before a crowd of women and apologize for the male gender.

Of course, there is nothing in Scripture that suggests any individual can apologize for an entire gender. The very notion is Biblically untenable. Neither is it wise to presume that every woman is a victim, but in Critical Race Theory (which is a Marxist political ideology that applies to gender, sexuality and other “identity groups” as well as race) and in the ideology of Marxist Intersectionality (the combining of two “victimized” identity group, in this case Native Americans and women), it is necessary to presume victimhood upon all, while simultaneously presuming guilt on ‘privileged’ white men.

Truth Matters Conference

Sun Valley, CA —During a panel discussion moderated by Todd Friel at the Truth Matters Conference three weeks ago, John MacArthur was asked what he thought about Beth Moore. MacArthur asked how many words he could use to respond. He was told he could use one to fifty words, and he chose two. “Go home.” The audio is below:

Howls of protest reverberated from all the feminist and effeminate corners of the evangelical world:

“Poor Beth!”
“Mysogyny!”
“Abuse!”
“Poor women everywhere!”
“Regardless of what he said, it’s the way he said it!”
“Beth, come hock your wares throughout MY denomination!!!”

In true feminist fashion, Moore responded by calling John MacArthur a misogynist.

If Beth Moore read and believed her Bible, she would understand: Home is exactly where God wants godly women to be. Home is where He promises to bless women’s labors and make them fruitful (Psalm 128:3). To a godly woman, keeping a home is a delight, and the words “Go Home” are sweet.

Godly women should be deeply suspect of any women’s ministry that speaks to women androgynously—that makes no mention of how to work diligently to keep a home, to love children, and learn submission in a way that brings glory to God; or, worse, pokes fun at the serious home-lover, like this interview to be found at The Gospel Coalition.

Titus 2 is clear: Women’s ministry in the church is to be shaped by the glorious calling of home. There are years and mountains of dishes to wash, lullabies to sing, dough to roll, tears to wipe and shed, stories to read, prayers to pour out, spills to wipe up. But how quickly the time flies away! When older women emerge from the trenches they receive the double honor of strengthening the hands of young mothers busy at home raising children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Who would trade it for the world? Beth Moore, and all modern restless Eves.

Go home, and be the queen of your household (Titus 2:5).

****

The Queen of the Home—The king upon his throne has no higher work than has the mother. The mother is queen of her household. She has in her power the molding of her children's characters, that they may be fitted for the higher, immortal life. An angel could not ask for a higher mission; for in doing this work she is doing service for God. Let her only realize the high character of her task, and it will inspire her with courage. Let her realize the worth of her work and put on the whole armor of God, that she may resist the temptation to conform to the world's standard. Her work is for time and for eternity” (AH 231.3).
