Last Sabbath, there was a prayer meeting scheduled in Portland Oregon featuring Canadian Pastor Artur Pawlowski. The meeting was held in broad daylight, and believers were invited to come for prayer and worship. Then things got ugly.
Dozens of black-clad Antifa militants carrying shields and melee weapons on Saturday assaulted these Christians, including children, who were attending this prayer and worship event in downtown Portland, Oregon.
A woman attending the prayer event described the group as “ruthless.”
“Antifa rolled in like an angry mob, started throwing flash bombs at everybody, macing everybody ... throwing rotten eggs,” CBN News quoted her as saying. “They threw a flash bomb into a group of kids that were out there from 4 months old to like 10.”
Antifa pepper sprayed Christians and their children, lobbed “flash bombs” into the crowd, and threw their sound equipment into the Willamette River. It was quite a display of anti-facist (Antifa) fascism.
There are videos of the assault as Antifa members carrying shields and weapons attacked the Christians and yelled profanities at them. “Where is your God now?” one of the Antifa members can be heard shouting the video of the attack (1:29). This is pure evil, and we should—as believers—expect more of this kind of hatred in the future (John 15:18).
The police were called and didn’t respond.

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:18-20).
