Dr. Marcum has spoken at numerous Adventist churches in Tennessee, and was interviewed by 3ABN in 2014. In this video, he discusses the new Tennessee law and insights on natural immunity derived from his own experience with COVID-19.

Today I'm sharing an update on the importance of recognizing natural immunity and sharing why I still haven't taken the Covid-19 Vaccine. I'm a firm believer in free choice, including when it comes to choosing preventative medical treatments. New legislation in my home state of Tennessee addresses this issue, and we're continuing to see more and more support for natural immunity. As we've stated before on this channel, there may be some folks whose risk/reward profile tilts them in favor of taking the vaccine and others whose risk/reward profile leads them away from the covid vaccine, and we believe that's great! Tennesee Bill HB 1871 was introduced by Representative Bud Hulsey from Nashville in January of this year.

This bill required that any person possessing natural immune protection from COVID-19 must not be treated differently or as inferior to vaccinated persons. It passed and became law on May 4th.

Some text from the Bill:

“BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 14-1-101, is amended by adding the following as a new subdivision:

( ) "Acquired immunity" means an acquired specific immune system response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus that is:

(A) Acquired naturally as a result of an individual's prior infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus; and

(B) Verified by:

(i) A letter from a licensed physician; or

(ii) Documentation of a laboratory test showing antibody, memory cell, or T cell immunity;

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 14, Chapter 2, Part 1, is amended by adding the following as a new section:

(a) A governmental entity, local education agency, or school shall not adopt or enforce a statute, ordinance, rule, policy, or practice arising from COVID-19 that:

(1) Fails to recognize acquired immunity as providing a level of immune protection that is at least as protective as a COVI D-19 vaccine; or

(2) Treats individuals with acquired immunity differently than individuals who have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

(b) A private business shall not adopt or enforce a rule, policy, procedure, or practice arising from COVI D-19 that:

(1) Fails to recognize acquired immunity as providing a level of lmmune protection that is at least as protective as a COVID-19 vaccine; or

(2) Treats individuals with acquired immunity differently than individuals who have received the COVID-19 vaccine.”
