This story is a beautiful satire on our sometimes sick methods of trying to take the gospel to other people.
It is also a brilliant critique about what happens to a church when they begin to adopt elements of the culture around them. They tend to over-complicate the Everlasting Gospel, believing it has to be flashy or complex.
Any resemblance between this story and a multi-million hospital industry that has strayed from the blueprint given them is purely intentional.
Let us follow Scripture’s model and prayerfully proclaim the Everlasting gospel to people, patiently waiting for the Spirit to work in hearts for faith and new life in Christ.
