The Italian government approved on Thursday some of the strictest anti-COVID measures in the world, making it obligatory for all workers to show proof of vaccination in a Green Pass.
While some European Union states have ordered their health workers to get vaccines, none have made the so-called "Green Pass" mandatory for all employees, making Italy a test case for the continent.
The new rules will come into force on Oct. 15 in the latest effort by Prime Minister Mario Draghi's broad coalition to force people to get inoculated. It is yet another heavy-handed leftist forcing draconian edicts on honest people. When will you see the pattern here?
According to Politico, In a 2015 interview, Draghi said:
"My convictions were along what you would call today ideas of liberal socialism, not really suited for extremist groups." Kostoris described him as "an American liberal, the same as [U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet] Yellen."
Against long meetings, with no social media presence and inclined to make decisions on his own, Draghi is "very controlled," said an Italian senior official who spoke on condition of anonymity. "When he meets the party leaders, he's usually alone." He is also another draconian leftist, eager to increase state control over citizens under the guise of protecting them.
People who ignore the decree and go to work regardless will face a fine of between 600 to 1,500 euros ($705-$1,175). The sanction for employers will be 400-1000 euros. They will also be suspended, and unable to earn an income.
The Green Pass
While some European Union states have ordered their health workers to get vaccines, none have made the so-called "Green Pass" mandatory for all employees (including self employed workers), making Italy a test case for the continent of Europe..
The Green Pass was originally conceived to ease travel around Europe, but Italy was among a group of countries that swiftly made it a requirement for those wanting to access venues such as museums, gyms and indoor dining in restaurants.
Why is it called a Green Pass? Your guess is as good as mine, however efforts to introduce climate lockdowns patterned after Covid lockdowns are already underway. According to Corinne Le Quéré, the lead author of a study on Covid19 lockdowns and the environment, a global lockdown is needed every two years to prioritize climate action and reduce emissions. Thus, a ‘Green Pass’ fits nicely into the environmentalist agenda.
The Vatican announced on Sunday (imagine that) that all visitors must now have a Green Pass for entry.
We will be watching the COP26 UN climate change summit in November 1-12 for further developments of the Green Pass, as world authorities seek to link Covid19 and Climate change. Stay tuned.
