Kris Loewen became the youth and family pastor at Walla Walla University Church in 2010. He worked there until 2019, moving to the SECC and becoming the head pastor at Redlands Seventh-day Adventist Church.
After being at Redlands for two years, Leowen made a public post on Facebook that God is a woman, or at least a female of some sort.
On October 9, 2021, Loewen announced on his Facebook page that he was now a (transgender) woman and preferred to be called ‘Esther.’
In January, he created a “ceremonial rite of passage” to celebrate his gender transition. [Mrs.] Chris Oberg, former head pastor of La Sierra University Church conducted the Transition ceremony, anointing Loewen with a mixture of oil and ash on his forehead.
We are informed that the photographer at this event is the granddaughter of Gordon Bietz, of SAU fame. Here are a few pictures from this transition ceremony:
Loewen commented on his Facebook page and Blog about the ‘ceremony’. While space prevents posting the entire blog post, a few excerpts from it may be useful:
“…it [the transition ceremony] serves as a communal recognition, validation, and commemoration of the profound and spiritual experience that has been this journey. It proved to be filled with Spirit, utterly transcendent.”
“My Rite of Transition ceremony was constructed, of course, with others in mind (I’ll get to that below) but first and foremost, I created it for me. I needed this.”
“For me, it was a piece of sacred living artwork that demonstrated God’s blessing on my transition. Through the ceremony, yet again I experienced Her unconditional enthusiasm for me as Her daughter – the exact person She made me to be.”
“This Rite of Transition is a participation in and an initiation into the revolutionary work of the Divine Spirit in the world. This Spirit cannot be controlled; rather, she subverts all attempts at domination, individually and systemically. Jesus taught that this aspect of God’s essence blows among us like wind, changing us as she wishes, and ultimately making all things new” ~ Mandy Cordero
On Facebook, there was a host of maudlin affirmations. Here are a few of them:
“Thank you for inviting ———- and I to be a part of this! In many ways, it helped confirm to myself that I am blessed and that God loves me as I am.”
“It looks like such a beautiful service. How wonderful to see such an outpouring of love and acceptance.”
“Thank you for sharing this. What a profoundly beautiful and meaningful service. This is a gift to us and to the many others who will come after you. We are all striving to be fully ourselves..”
“Just beautiful, Esther. Thank you so much for sharing these windows into your sacred journey.”
“This is so beautiful how God makes something beautiful out of each one of us.”
“How beautiful and sacred. Thank you for sharing.”
Observations
The philosophical approval of homosexuality and gender confusion is intrinsically religious, albeit it is pagan religion.
The rising (millennial) generation is the first generation of our modern era to receive a fully developed Neo pagan cosmology, masquerading as the correct view of history and demanding to be inscribed in public policy. The success of this way of thinking is largely because the Christian cosmology has dissipated in the minds of people in the west. We are in the midst of a period where people, even some Adventists, no longer believe the Bible.
These two former Seventh-day Adventist pastors were incubated in the progressive breeding ground of western culture, bringing these ideas into the church that you and I cherish. The end result will be the moral demise of thousands of Adventist children. Pacific Union, NAD, SECC, your chickens have come home to roost and they are rainbow colored. We saw it coming. And it is tragic.
