Unfortunately, Keith Reid passed away in the hospital last evening. He leaves behind a wife and a daughter, Cassia. He was the associate director of publishing for the Southern Union Conference in Georgia.
Keith lasted three hours after they removed the ventilator. He now sleeps in Jesus. Those who knew him say he was a wonderful, Godly man.
A reflection from an acquaintance on Facebook:
“We are praying. Was on prayer line for him at 9 am. I’ve known Keith since the beginning of my walk with God. This was when I was 21 years old. I’m now 63 years old. Met Keith in CT where we both were living at the time. He was our director for literature evangelists at that time. He trained us and I was going door to door. We also had many memorable times on Sabbaths hanging out in a group fellowshipping together, having bible studies. He also at the time played in a group where he played the trumpet. The music was so inspiring and very Godly. I loved listening to it, I felt the presence of God when listening to it. They had a singer, piano player and of course Keith, on the trumpet. We were young then, moved different places, and we all got married. Then I bumped into Keith again at Uchee Pines. He wasn’t married at that time. Then, I found out he moved to a position down here at our conference, where we were able to meet each other again [along with] our spouses. It was really nice. We would see Keith every so often, he was a very busy man doing the Lord’s work. He has always been a true brother in Christ to me. Very Godly man, I have many memorable times of Keith.”
