Yesterday morning, the Collegedale Police Department received a phone call from an individual who said they were planning to attack the University church during Sabbath service.
They immediately dispatched a couple police cars to the church. The officers entered the church during children’s story, communicated with the pastor and informed him of the threat. Together with the pastor, they interrupted the children’s story, and asked everyone to vacate the building as quickly as possible. Everyone left.
A couple hours later, the same phone number called the police department again, and this time the individual ordered pizza. The police realized they were dealing with a crazy person.
The ‘all clear’ was given at the church, although it was too late for Sabbath services that day.
We don’t know if the individual has been arrested yet—my guess is they have been. More importantly, we don’t know if they got any pizza, or if it was a vegetarian version.
