According to the Washington Times, Presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren told Iowans recently that if she’s elected president, then any future Secretary of Education will need the approval of a transgender child she met last year.
Warren told a Cedar Rapids audience on Sunday that CNN’s LGBTQ town hall debate in October had such an effect on her that questioner Jacob Lemay, age 9, would be consulted if she ever occupies the White House.
“I have two qualifications that I talk about over and over for my Secretary of Education,” she said. “The first: It has to be someone who’s taught in a public school, hello? And part 2, because it came from a young trans person who asked about a welcoming community and I said it starts with a Secretary of Education who has a lot to do with where we spend our money, with what gets advanced in our public schools, with what the standards are, and I said, ‘I’m going to have a Secretary of Education that this young trans person interviews on my behalf.’ “
This was the same town hall when Warren famously ridiculed conservatives who held traditional/biblical views on marriage.
Warren's comments seemed to fit a pattern of making bold pledges surrounding gender. Earlier this month, Warren said she would,
"build a Cabinet and senior leadership team that reflects the full diversity of America, including having at least 50 [percent] of Cabinet positions filled by women and nonbinary people, and ensure representation of LGBTQ+ people across all levels of government, including in leadership roles.”
People who favor liberalism in the Church, and I could name a lot of names here, sometimes say “But isn’t reporting on these things being political?" Or, “You’re being political!”
No, this is not a political post. It is however, an observation that a country founded on Christian principles of freedom and truth is being deconstructed by the cancerous carnality of boutique liberalism. On the other side, there is a tendency to worship the military, and temporal values. I believe both are wrong perspectives.
Now, let’s look at something significant that just happened in the UK.
British Court Says Bible Belief is Incompatible With Human Dignity in Transgender Case
Daily Wire—A couple months ago, a British court ruled that belief in the Bible was “incompatible with human dignity.”
That statement came in a case involving Dr. David Mackereth, a devout Christian who had worked as an emergency doctor for the National Health Service for 26 years. He said he was fired from his job because he refused to call a biological man a woman. The court’s ruling stated:
“Belief in Genesis 1:27, lack of belief in transgenderism and conscientious objection to transgenderism in our judgment are incompatible with human dignity and conflict with the fundamental rights of others, specifically here, transgender individuals.” The court added. “… in so far as those beliefs form part of his wider faith, his wider faith also does not satisfy the requirement of being worthy of respect in a democratic society, not incompatible with human dignity and not in conflict with the fundamental rights of others.”
The Telegraph reported that Mackereth said he was removed from his job with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) in late June 2018 after his boss “interrogated” him about his personal religious convictions. Mackereth told the court in July that his line manager had asked him, “If you have a man six foot tall with a beard who says he wants to be addressed as ‘she’ and ‘Mrs’ would you do that?”
Mackereth said that because of his religious beliefs he could not, and his job was subsequently terminated. He told the court,
“My belief in the truth of the Bible, and in particular, the truth of Genesis 1:27: ‘So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them’ means that every person is created by God as either male or female. A person cannot change their sex/gender at will. Any attempt at, or pretense of, doing so, is pointless, self-destructive, and sinful.”
It is only recently that transgenderism has been recognized as normal and such delusional beliefs accepted at face value. What is responsible for that change is political pressure, not scientific evidence.”
We must be on guard to resist such evils, standing firm in the faith, for the devil roams about like a roaring lion seeking to consume you (1 Corinthians 16:13; 1 Peter 5:8).
