The GC associate youth director (Andres Peralta) told Pathfinders last night at Lake Union Pathfinder camporee…
“To the girls that are here…do not allow anybody, whether the church, a pastor, an institution, or a vote to say that you cannot be a pastor,"
He is quoted in this story in the Lake Union herald.
Here is the video livestream. He makes this statement about 2 hours and 28 minutes into the video.
Our Commentary
Andres Peralta is indoctrinating impressionable young people with female headship.
There was no mention of or appeal to the Bible, of course.
The woman who performed the baptism in the article is steeped in this ideology as well. She is Richard Davidson's daughter.
Since the rebellion of the Pacific and Columbia union was not dealt with swiftly, women's ordination was made inevitable in our church and you know what is coming behind it.
Regrettably, WO rebellion was never dealt with.
Here is an observation from a father who attended this Camporee with his children,
"As I sat at the Pathfinder Camporee with my children, I felt that the messages that would be presented, and the people my children would meet, would be a positive influence in their spiritual life. However, these feelings changed after the evening worship service on Sabbath afternoon.
[Andres] Peralta blatantly disregarded the votes that were taken at three separate GC sessions, and essentially told impressionable youth that they should disregard biblical counsel and standing. It was quite surprising that Peralta did this, especially at a Pathfinder camporee. It makes me incredibly worried that our youth will grow up with theological misconceptions."

“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety” (1 Timothy 2:12-15).
