Certain people within the Seventh-day Adventist Church are pushing affirmation of the LGBTQ lifestyle. Is this compromise and deception, or love and compassion?
To get the answer we must consider God's response to sin in the Bible. What truth can we discover regarding sin in the Scriptures? How should we respond to ourselves and to the people around us? The battle for political correctness, wokeness and cancel culture is real, even in the SDA church.
Danny Shelton presented a compelling message at the 2023 3ABN Spring campmeeting on the topic of biblical sexuality and gender:
A biblically faithful church will be honest about God’s judgment of sin as well as the salvation that is found in repentance and faith in Christ. A theologically compromised (woke) church will affirm people in their sin in order to appear compassionate to the culture.
One church is willing to endure ridicule for people to have eternal life. The other wants to maintain its reputation even if it keeps people on the path to eternal damnation.
Which one sounds more loving to you?
