The Book of Psalms opens with these words:
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers” (Psalms 1:1).
The Whole Life Church, formerly Florida Hospital Church produced and released this video today. It speaks for itself.
Mocking does not get high marks in the Bible. It,
makes us vile, (Lamentations 1:8).
brings tumult (Ezekiel 22:4).
brings corruption (Galatians 6:8).
can be evidence of lust (Jude 18).
brings reproach (Psalm 79:4).
is evidence of pride (Psalm 119:51).
I have personally been guilty of mocking at times, and it is wrong. It brings a number of consequences into our lives, and can damage those around us. A much better way is to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:23).

“But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit” (Jude 17—19).
