Imagine if you will, a time when superstition and the fear of sickness and death were used to control people.
It was a time when Church and the elite heads of state worked hand in hand to control every aspect of your life. A two-class system with one half owning everything and the other dependent upon the first class to provide their basic needs and no more. Personal freedoms are defined by the church/state, leaving you with little or no freedom. A time when fear and coercion are used to keep the general populous in submission. Punishment meted out at the discretion of those in control to keep the order they dictate. Information controlled by the ruling parties who determine what is right and what is wrong, what you will hear and what you will not hear. A time when true Christianity and any other religious belief that was not of the Roman kind was being swallowed up, and those who dared to demand their God given rights of freedom of conscience were persecuted to the point of annihilation if necessary. A time when the “common good” meant that the common people owned nothing and had no right to make personal decisions outside of the dictated bounds.
It was a time when Rome ruled over the nations and kingdoms at the behest of the Dragon. It was a period when keeping the common people ignorant was for their own good—according to those in power. Sound familiar? It should. It is a time known as the Dark Ages.
The Dark Ages
The Dark Ages were a time when the people were ruled rather than governed. We are surely headed for the same thing today as we have entered a time where we no longer have people who want to govern us, but instead people who want to rule us. To me, there is a big difference in governing and ruling. Here are a couple of definitions I found and copied.
Govern: conduct the policy, actions, and affairs of (a state, organization, or people). to rule without sovereign power and usually without having the authority to determine basic policy.
Rule: exercise ultimate power or authority over (an area and its people).
The Protestant Reformation
Fortunately, God didn’t leave us in the Dark Ages. He raised up the great Protestant reformers, and through them led us out from under the bondage and rulership of the Roman Church/state combination and the darkness that resulted from their unholy union. America arose as a result of this reformation and prospered as a land with Protestant ideals including liberty and freedom of conscience. It was here that the middle class was built, resulting in a more even distribution of wealth and prosperity. A place where there was no king, no state religion to answer to, and men and women were free to worship as they saw fit. It was a place where freedom to think for oneself and determine what was best for their families without the dictates of the so-called enlightened ones ruling over them was enjoyed.
It appears the prevailing plan is to return us to those dark days of old. Behind this plan is the dragon who gave his power to the first beast of Revelation 13 identified by the great reformers as the Papacy.
Think back upon those darkened days. Who benefited from the tyranny imposed upon the common people? It was the Roman Church and the elites who occupied positions as rulers along with other wealthy conspirators who owned most everything while the common people were expected to be happy owning nothing. The term for this was the feudal system. Sound familiar? It should because this is exactly what Klaus Schwab and those working with him on the Great Reset are offering as shown by this quote from them, “You will own nothing and be happy.” Deja vu.
Today we see the Roman Church working through and with the leaders of countries to install the agenda of Rome over this world once again as it was in the days of old. How, or by what means would they work to accomplish this goal? Remember the Jesuits were formed for one purpose only.
“Vowed to perpetual poverty and humility, it was their studied aim to secure wealth and power, to be devoted to the overthrow of Protestantism, and the re-establishment of the papal supremacy.” {GC 234.2}
“When appearing as members of their order, they wore a garb of sanctity, visiting prisons and hospitals, ministering to the sick and the poor, professing to have renounced the world, and bearing the sacred name of Jesus, who went about doing good. But under this blameless exterior the most criminal and deadly purposes were often concealed. It was a fundamental principle of the order that the end justifies the means. By this code, lying, theft, perjury, assassination, were not only pardonable but commendable, when they served the interests of the church. Under various disguises the Jesuits worked their way into offices of state, climbing up to be the counselors of kings, and shaping the policy of nations. They became servants to act as spies upon their masters. They established colleges for the sons of princes and nobles, and schools for the common people; and the children of Protestant parents were drawn into an observance of popish rites. All the outward pomp and display of the Romish worship was brought to bear to confuse the mind and dazzle and captivate the imagination, and thus the liberty for which the fathers had toiled and bled was betrayed by the sons. The Jesuits rapidly spread themselves over Europe, and wherever they went, there followed a revival of popery.” {GC 235.1}
Fear
One method being used to bring about the desired change is to instill fear in people. Fear that drives them to the point they are willing to bow down to the very power that will at some point lord it over them as they have done in the past. Will we ever learn? Where are the Protestants who read their Bibles and believe what the prophets of old have warned us was to come? How can they be so blind to what is happening in the world we live in today? The answer is given by Jesus Himself,
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before (Matthew 24:24,25 KJV).
How unfortunate that so many, even some among our own denomination, are being blinded to the deception perpetrated upon the world at this time.
At a time when the Protestant churches should be marching to Zion, instead, like a dog returning to its own vomit (Proverbs 26:11), apostate Protestants are marching back to Rome and the Dark Ages and the eventual slavery to the church/state reunion that is on the horizon. A time when the church and state will be united in running/ruining the lives of the people with their totalitarian rule, where no longer are you free to follow the dictates of your own conscience or worship according to your own choice.
The Papacy
How did the papacy get into the position it is in today? By deceiving the whole world that it had lost its authority a long time ago. Remember it is Satan’s plan and he is far superior to us in deceit since he is the father of it (John 8:44). You stage a death to the papacy and take it off the open playing field so that it can work undetected behind the scenes without any opposition from prying eyes. You make it appear to have died so that people will let their guard down while you stealthily work to overcome the whole world while no one is looking your way. You can’t be taken seriously as the anti-Christ while you are supposedly languishing on the outside of the mainstream, having lost your lands and political clout. You use the CIA-like military arm of your outfit to put into circulation alternate theories as to who the anti-Christ is and push his coming into the future or past, while you are working stealthily to come like a roaring lion from the bushes to devour your prey when the time is right. It appears you are doing all your business in the light of day but your tentacles are far reaching and spreading everywhere.
Meanwhile you infiltrate every country’s government, school system, economies, and every religion so that someday, when the time is right, you can walk up to the stage and take your rightful place as the world leader that you at one time enjoyed and desperately want to return to without any real opposition. In other words, you create the situation that places you back into power and you are now ready to deceive the whole world into following your ideals, and if possible, deceive even the very elect of God (Matthew 24:24). Today it may look as if you are succeeding, but one day soon the Son of God will return and take back what He won on the cross of calvary. Those who would rather live under His government rule need to get ready and help others to get ready.
National Israel
I am reminded of Israel on their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. During the exodus the Israelites became discouraged and fearful of the giants spied in the Promised Land and because of unbelief they could not enter in. They longed for the fleshpots they had left behind and for a return to Egypt to be slaves again to Pharoah (Exodus 16:3). They would choose to live with the cruelty and bondage they suffered in Egypt, putting their trust in Pharaoh rather than overcome their trials by faith in the power of God who had parted the Red Sea for them.
The Choice is Ours
Today, Satan places before us modern day giants such as evolution, climate change, pandemics, natural disasters, distress between races and nations, and crime of all sorts. Have we become so fearful of these enemies that we would choose to return to a modern-day Pharaoh sitting on his throne in Rome representing a spiritual Egypt? Would we choose a mere man, who like the Pharaohs of old claimed to be a god and have all the answers for a weary people? Or will we remember that we have a God in heaven who will see us through even the most trying times and is able to overcome all our enemies? A God that will soon part the heavens as He returns to rescue those who are faithful and trusting in Him?
We can return to the Dark Ages and to a ‘promise land’ of men’s devising where unrighteousness reigns, or we can return to and surrender to the Creator God who will one day lead us to the true Promised Land where righteousness reigns.
My concern is, that just as it was with ancient Israel so shall it be with us, only a few will put their trust in God and be willing to move forward.
May God bless you to be among those who remain faithful and who, “… have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11 KJV).
